Comment from Oceanwide Expeditions
While we’re happy you enjoyed your voyage, we are sorry to hear some aspects fell short of expectations.
With regard to your comment about bread, the best thing to do whilst on board was to inform our staff on board, so our baker could have made more brown bread for the next day. All our bread is made fresh every day. The same goes for making cinnamon more accessible, which is not a request we usually get and so is not automatically done.
As for having coffee machines in the dining area, this is a practice we avoid due to the long lines it creates during mealtimes. We opt instead to keep a coffee machine near the bar, where it’s available 24 / 7.
Finally, the issue of Wi-Fi: We mention in our pre-cruise documents that internet is often spotty in the polar regions and also expensive, so downloading anything during your cruise is not advisable. We recommend instead that you get e-books or other such downloads onto your devices well in advance of your cruise.
We hope this reply addresses your dissatisfactions and look forward to seeing you on a future polar voyage.
