At the age of 82, my wife and I are experienced travellers and have seen many beautiful parts of the world, but this trip was exceptional, a marvellous experience in all respects. The organisation of the trip and the care given by all the staff was exemplary. One really felt welcome and part of the expedition - as the tour leader once said, it was an expedition rather than a holiday.
We set out to see polar bears in their natural habitat - and we did get to see them, and so much more. Great experience on a great ship with a fantastic team and crew. Highly recommended!
What an adventure! Extremely friendly, welcoming and well trained crew that fulfilled all wishes (well, almost ;-) ) - enthusiastic guides who were very empathic. Wonderful flora and fauna that were explained to us in the lectures on board as well as on the zodiacs. Excellent food served by a very friendly staff. Thank you!!!

The whole trip was very exciting, which gave me a deep understanding of the Arctic scenery and wildlife. The speed of glacier melting also shocked me. I hope each of us can protect the earth well
I was enchanted by the surroundings, the navigation, the wild untouched nature, where I feeled like an intruder. All the staff was competent, friendly and helpful
Wat een geweldige trip hebben gemaakt met dit keer de Hondius, alles wat we gezien hebben en de ontzettend vriendelijke en gastvrije bemanning maken het tot een onvergetelijke trip. De enige opmerking die ik heb, dat ik verbaast was dat er een aantal zeer jonge kinderen aan boord waren. Ik vind dit namelijk geen reis voor jonge kinderen en de mede reizigers die ik er over sprak vonden dit ook vreemd.

I won’t forget this incredible experience here in Svalbard! Out of world and deep inside wildlife! We spotted polar bears and bow head whales!
it was overwhelming; the arctic scenery, the wildlife, the ship. the expedition staff said we were very lucky to sea so much wildlife in one trip.
hallo! Diese Reise (10.6. - 17.6. ab Longyearbyen) war die Reise meines Lebens. Da hat einfach alles gestimmt. Die Crew, alle Kategorien, perfekt. Nur manche Passagiere haben mich schockiert. Wie respektlos mit dem ausgesprochen gutem Essen umgegangen wird. Hier sollte man nachdenken wie man Bioabfall zumindest reduzieren kann. Mir ist bewußt das, das nicht einfach ist. Aber es wird nichts verändert wenn man nicht darüber nachdenkt. LG Gottfried Archan
