Way more than we expected! In terms of the ship, the crew and staff, the service, the wildlife, the surroundings, the food. Everything was in one word excellent. We were really pleased to be on a real adventure, an expedition. Thanks for having us. We so much enjoyed it.

The expedition staff is very energetic and knowledgeable. We went south to 70 degrees latitude. Saw a lot of polar wildlife, icebergs and ice shelf, beautiful landscapes, clear skies, and auroras.

It was the most amazing trip to the Deep South of the Earth. I wasn't well prepared or well read on what to expect but the experience was absolutely unique. The landscapes are out of this world and I will treasure the memory of this pristine natural surroundings and its inhabitants forever in my heart and mind. The team on the m/v Ortelius was the best you could wish for and the size and comfort of the ship was just perfect. Everyone on board could participate in all the activities that were organized. I can only recommend this amazing voyage to everyone with a passion for nature and adventure.

Adventure that totally changed my view of life and this planet. I,'ve learned so much about ice, wild life, Antarctica history, past and future. As an artist I can not stop painting and going back to my life on the ship, and all the sights I Ve seen. I felt very humble as a witness to allmighty nature that can crush us in a second. Peace, silence , realizing how insignificant our goals are compared to the big picture of life in this universe....all that made this expedition unique and overwhelming experience....

Felt like a real explorer, travelling in the footsteps of Ernest Shackleton! We were lucky enough to reach Vahsel Bay and Berkner Island which was incredible and further south then Shackleton went! Saw wonderful wildlife and ice. Spent time just watching beautiful emperor penguins on ice and a humpback whale logging close to our zodiac. Crew were incredibly hard working and cheerful. My dietary intolerance was catered for by the Chef with cheerfulness and respect and I enjoyed fantastic meals for 4 weeks with no problems. Expedition staff were very knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects. The prime aim seemed to be to make the trip as interesting and special for every guest as possible. They succeeded!

It was a life time experience to go to Antarctica. It’s a pity we didn’t stay long after crossing polar circle due to bad weather conditions.

With Mother Nature on our side, we had an amazing expedition on the Remote Weddell Sea Explorer. Reaching 78S on this side of the continent was truly a wonder ... the zodiac cruising, the tabular iceberg landing, the ice floe and fast ice landings, the continental and very unique Berkner Island landings, the wildlife that we were able to view in close proximity. It all combined for a magnificent experience. Excellent expedition team led by Sara Jenner.

Overall an incredible voyage with an incredible crew. A true journey to the southern unknown with passionate and experienced guides and crew. A true adventure of a lifetime!

A fantastic voyage that included South Georgia, South Sandwich Islands and Weddell Sea. For the first time as non government passenger ship made it to 78.3 degrees parallel. Highly recommended this trip to all looking for wildlife, beauty and experience.

Words can not express this journey. The wildlife, the scenery, the icebergs, all of Antarctica has left me in a sea of ecstasy! Being there filled me with a joy never before known from travelling! I loved our boat, The Ortelius - it was such a perfect size - it could venture into all the nooks and crannies of The Peninsular that bigger ships were excluded from. I don't like being with large groups so the low number of passengers made being onboard like a party and zodiac tours easy and inclusive. The food was more than excellent with the stewards were such fun and highly efficient. My two berth cabin was spacious and cleaned daily if I wanted. Best of all were all the staff and crew. Everyone was warm and friendly and it felt like being with a family. The expedition leaders were exceptional - their knowledge, delivered through fun and interesting lectures, enhanced the richness of the voyage. Plus they were delightful to be around and gave the ship a great atmosphere. Oceanwide delivered a professional personal Antarctic experience that I will never forget. Thank you everyone.

The Antarctic landscapes, with their endless white expanses and jagged peaks, were awe-inspiring in every way. Delicious Cuisine Onboard After long days of exploration, returning to the ship to enjoy amazing food was an absolute delight. The chefs onboard crafted delicious meals that were both comforting and gourmet—perfectly suited for fueling our daily adventures. From fresh seafood to decadent desserts, every meal exceeded expectations. Apart from the weather or locations, the expedition staff made the whole trip awesome. Their efforts made sure we had the best trip.

While not on my bucket list, it SHOULD be on everyone’s! The scenery, wildlife, zodiac and landing experiences, safety protocol, teaching lessons onboard by knowledgeable staff, accommodations and meals - ALL beyond my expectations.
