Oceanwide Expeditions covers the polar corner at ITB Berlin

by Oceanwide Expeditions News 11.03.2019

Last week Oceanwide staff attended ITB Berlin, the world’s largest travel trade show, meeting old friends and new in a weeklong spree of tour operators, travel agents, and all other manner of professionals in the wide world of commercial travel.

Last week Oceanwide staff attended ITB Berlin, the world’s largest travel trade show, meeting old friends and new in a weeklong spree of tour operators, travel agents, and all other manner of professionals in the wide world of commercial travel.

Our new booth was vibrant and active, a veritable hive of industry activity that featured (among other things) a sign through which visitors could put their faces, posing as polar explorers.

This was all arranged to emphasize OEX’s gratitude to our favorite polar explorers: our passengers.

Though Oceanwide always brings a fresh image and enhanced products to ITB Berlin, last week’s ITB trade show was far from the 25-year-old company’s first rodeo.

Rather, we loyally attend the Berlin travel fair every year, handing out brochures, shaking hands, and discussing the finer points of its wildlife-centered, activity-oriented expedition cruises.

These cruises take polar passengers to such exotic locations at South Georgia, northeast Greenland, Antarctica’s Weddell Sea, the Arctic archipelago of Svalbard, and many, many others.

And far from being a mere pleasure cruise of passing sights, OEX’s goal is now as it has always been: getting passengers into the polar environment as often as possible by giving them maximum shore landings, utmost contact with wildlife, and a stellar variety of immersive outdoor activities.

It is these distinguishing features of Oceanwide voyages that we proudly highlighted during yet another successful appearance at ITB Berlin.
