What shall I say....... amazing!!! I didn't know what to expect. I met a hardworking team. A team with a lot of energy, with kindness, with love, with patience, that is helpful. On the whole ship, from captain till the mechanics.. And that make the expedition!! It was hard working and I loved it. Every day a good program with a lot of flexibility. A very good ship. The food was delicious. A good hut, with good beds, warm shower. Luxury on all sides. I also saw the other huts and I was satisfied with mine on deck 4. I had luck with the weather, luck with all the animals I saw. Even the jumping whale, without the picture. That doesn't matter, I have seen him!! I met nice people. There was a nice Dutch group. We play games and were sitting together into the zodiac with Saskia. The highlight may be: the jumping whale. And the rest was on the same level. I cannot choose. But sometimes I'm afraid of all the tourist who are coming to the Artics. It was very busy in Ushuaia, more then ten years ago. Now we didn't see an other ship, but how long will this taken before we see each other and lay side by side at a beach and go with 20 zodiacs together to the beach. But I enjoy and hope we ca

Life enriching experience. Team and staff excellent: prepared, well trained and enthusiastic. Boat very comfortable, food very good. Activities always up and above expectation! Thank you!

An experience that exceeded all our expectations. Extremely professional staff and guides. Unbelievable vistas. We are still digesting where we have been and and what we have done long after our expedition.

2 things i was disappointed in was that trays of hot foods, ie main entry were not hot, even if i was there when dining room first opened.Would like to have a small gym, maybe a bicycle & treadmill. my favorite person was Tiffany, the exped leader from Faulklands

We had a wonderful 18 day expedition on the Hondius. The wildlife and scenery were magnificent. All of the crew were wonderful and constantly cheerful. The expedition crew were highly professional and worked tirelessly to maximise the number of landings, despite adverse weather conditions. Our twin porthole cabin was very comfortable, we slept better than at home!

An excellent Oceanwide 18 day trip to the Falklands, South Georgia and Antarctica. Fantastic to walk amongst the wildlife in all 3 places. Watching the young male Elephant Seals 'fighting' at 2 beaches on South Georgia was truly extraordinary, especially as they were in the amidst hundreds of King Penguins and fur seals...

Extraordinary experience on the Hondius travelling from Ushuaia to Falklands, South Georgia, South Orkney and Antarctica Peninsula, unique concentration of wildlife in the world, amazing polar scenery and landscape, fascinating glaciers, great expedition crew and service, good weather forecast ... all ingredients to produce a great result. We love you all.

Absolute beautiful expedition cruise! The staff went out of their way to give us a lot of landings and we only had beautiful ones. I will honestly never forget all of the beauty we have seen! The vibe on board was excellent with lovely guests and staff alike. The lectures were -for the most part- very interesting. Especially the ones from Tiffany, Chloé, Misha and Felicity always kept my attention. Food was amazing time after time and the lovely Carol always started my day with a smile in the breakfast room, after Michaels enthusiastic morning announcement of course! I want to especially mention Misha, since he really made my (and I think a lot more people!) trip so remarkable. His enthusiasm, knowledge, professionalism and friendliness absolutely made every visit and memory even more memorable. I had several zodiac cruises with him and they always turned out to be the best. A big thank you also to the behind the scenes staff. My room was always impeccably clean thanks to Victor, but also the friendly staff in the dining room. Truly, I can't think of anything that I disliked and I certainly will book another expedition with Oceanwide!

Modern vessel, great staff and expedition leaders, many opportunities to kayak to shore or cruise harbors and bays. Excellent food and plenty of it - often too much!!! Excellent lectures, guides often joined our table for dinner which was great for additional conversation. Had a day or two where weather conditions did not allow for getting off, but expedition director and captain worked to create other opportunities. Saw an unbelievable number of penguins, seals, elephant seals, aquatic birds and more. Even several whales including one that swam under the zodiac!!! Hotel manager and his staff were very accommodating and super friendly. This is a 5-star trip and would highly recommend it. I especially loved the Falklands and South Georgia!!!

Hondius very comfortable, excellent food, staff did everything to make us feel welcome, expedition staff very motivated, helpful and worked hard to make this trip memorable

The captain and his crew navigated safely. There was ample food. Wine was reasonably priced. The waiters were wonderful, the zodiac drivers great. The scenery was awesome so why the poor rating??? The excursion team led by "Miss I, me, myself" lets Oceanwide and the guests down. We felt we were surrounded by college kids in a summer camp. One adult in the room - Adam - but he was not the leader. Instead, we had a spoiled, arrogant and impolite kid who thinks the world whirls around her and showed little care. For example the 1.5 kms stroll along the beach which ended up being a 4 or 5 kms through the hills with guest over 75 years old who could hardly make it and no excursion team around to guide. They are too busy taking pictures and posting them on social media. The lectures are extremely unprofessional - basic powerpoint presentations and no enthusiasm from most of the presenters and please spare the lessons on "see, watch and whatever". Do not spit in the soup by telling us how bad human impact is in Antartica etc. etc. The only ones that had some kind of credibility were Adam and Bjarni. So much for noted biologists. Should we also mention the doctor saga? So unprofessional!

The expedition was awesome! Especially the guides. Only negative would be food choices. very limited options for Asian vegetarians.

What a sensational and extremely well organised adventure we had, together with an enthousiastic and professional expedition team. Many many thanks!

I recently had the opportunity to take a trip to Antarctica on the M/V Plancius and it was an absolutely incredible experience. The ship itself was comfortable and well-equipped, and the staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The highlight of the trip, of course, was the opportunity to see Antarctica up close. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, with towering glaciers, snow-covered peaks, and crystal-clear waters teeming with wildlife. We were lucky enough to see a wide variety of animals, including penguins, seals, and even whales. The guides on the trip were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the area, and they did an excellent job of sharing their knowledge with us. They were always willing to answer questions and provide additional information, and they made sure that we were able to see and experience as much as possible during our time in Antarctica. Overall, I couldn't recommend this trip more highly. Whether you're a nature lover, a history buff, or simply someone looking for an unforgettable adventure, the M/V Plancius is the perfect way to experience the beauty and wonder of Antarctica. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

What an amazing trip on the Ortelius with Oceanwide. The expedition teams were fantastic - professional, knowledgeable, and fun. They put the guests first and did everything to give us the best Antarctica experience despite challenging weather conditions. You could tell how much they love Antarctica and really care about bringing us into their world. The vessel's hardworking crew was also amazing and went above and beyond for us in our floating hotel, from the captain explaining the navigation charts to the guests on the bridge to the hotel managers staying overtime at the bar - don't take that for granted.
