Antarctica’s low-lying Lagoon Island
Part of Lagoon Island is a specially protected area where we’re unable to land, but the other part is often frequented by local scientists for recreation and research. Elephant and fur seals may be hauled out on Lagoon Island, and you might also spot Adélie penguins along the beaches.
