Exciting wonderful trip. Crew. Excellent

Our trip with Oceanwide Expeditions to the Falklands, South Georgia and Antarctica peninsula exceeded our expectations. The entire staff was first class and most importantly all were happy and excited to be part of this amazing adventure. As a vegetarian I especially appreciated that my dietary needs were not a hindrance to the chefs in fact others were jealous of my delicious meals. This expedition was ecotourism as its finest with their consistent focus on environmental protection and conservation of the area.

It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! I got to see things I could only imagine in my dreams. Sailing on the ship and the zodiac landings were so much fun. The crew was very professional and got us safely to all our destinations and back to Ushuaia. The expedition staff was amazing and always available to talk to. The hotel staff did a great job and our cabin was very comfortable. The food was always fresh and delicious. I am a vegetarian and vegetarian dishes were always available. I'd especially like to thank M.J. and James who always remembered our names, were very polite and were always there for us with anything that we needed when we were dining. They made the trip even more fun for us. I'd highly recommend this cruise.

Wonderful small boat, with lots of decks. Amazing Filipino staff, great food (a little too many herbs maybe), bread, cheese, vegetables. Exceptional: Andrew Bishop, Beau Preneau, Dr. Rogier Burggraaff, Capt. Nazarov. Landings: only 50 people at a time meant more penguins than humans every time. Thank you Andrew! The bridge was another big plus. Camping was not as expected. Suggestion: allow passengers to practice after demonstration, with a guide present to answer questions. The majority of us would not do it again! Kayak: my biggest disappointment. I abided by indications on your website: Plancius not being a basecamp voyage, I didn't sign up because I have no experience and your site states clearly: "On these non-basecamp excursions our guides do reserve the right to refuse you access to a kayak if it’s clear you don’t have any experience". Once on board I found out that several completely inexperienced beginners had signed up and went kayaking several times. Some even offered me their place but understandably Louise Adie could not take me along (insurance, etc.). I thank Andrew and crew for my two Polar plunges: they were very real experiences of Antartica.

You have to go there to be able to comprehend this vastness and beauty of Antarctic. Its true what people say, Antarctica leaves a mark in your appreciation of nature. And the expedition team went out of their ways more than once to get the most out of it for everyone of us. Of course, the weather helped. We were very lucky and enjoyed the most splendid weather for this part of the world - mostly just when we were setting our for a zodiac landing or cruise. Thanks to all of you for making this such a dream trip.

The organization on the ship was first class. Cooperation between staff at all levels was superb. Zodiac trips and lectures were outstanding, and, if special sights or adventures were expected, a 5 am wake-up call was appreciated. The catering service was superb. Seascape, landscape, flora and fauna was what I came for; but the relaxed atmosphere created by the whole crew, and the easy access to the bridge surpassed my expectation. Thank you, Ortelius, for a very memorable experience.

The only badly organized event was the camping outside . Material obsolete : bivouac sack with no head protection from the snow , no sheet sacs provided ,thermalite mattress did not inflate....access to chemical toilet left far and no protection from the snow while walking on socks!!!

The Falklands - South Georgia - Antartica OTL29 has been one of my best trip ever. We've met very favourable weather and visited very interesting places, except for Port Stanley. The few setbacks are: 1) Non-understandable communication on the intercom (depending on the announcer); 2) Lack of normal height table to work with the computer; 3) The common areas are not very comfortable, with that on deck 3 more similar to a mausoleum that to a meeting area; 4) Dinner served at the table instead of the buffet takes a very long time, more than 45 minutes between starter and main course. Better the Buffet. 5) Why , on Carcass Island, make us waste a couple of hours to walk to the farm instead of spending the morning in the wild? Who cares about English style pastry served at 11:30 (with our lunch at 1:00 pm) instead of spending more time with our first penguins? For the rest, I can confirm that I will suggest to any interested friend to take this trip, because all the staff have been very professional and friendly, service and food were good, The itinerary well planned, although a faster ship may allow one day more in Antarctica.

As a seabird specialist, Antarctica has been on top of my bucket list for the last 25 years and this was the right time in my life to visit the white continent. After a full year of preparations the day came to board the ship at Ushuaia and embark on a 19 day expedition to the Falklands, South Georgia and the Antarctic Peninsula. Thanks to the professionalism. and dedication of Ocean Wide and its staff, this experience was mind blowing.

I was ready for a dream ... and the dream suddenly become real ! I loved this cruise, and I will never forget it. Each person I met, and the crew, we shared a wonderful time.

Just loved everything about the experience. Expert guides, skilled & professional crew, small ship with excellent accommodation, great food, fabulous company. Thankyou OceanWide, we’ll be back!

Perfect adventure for me Felt safe Got to know Captain Mika and First Officer Toni and all the excursion guides. The nature and wildlife were right there and I was a absorbed in God’s Magnificent Creation Three delicious meals a day and plenty of activities. Knowledgeable and friendly staff

First and foremost, the entire crew was excellent. From hotel to kitchen to expedition guides, everyone was professional, knowledgeable and hard working. Having all the excursions (kayaking, mountaineering, etc.) included it made it stress free and a lot of fun. As an active person, I think this is the best way to see the continent. The food was very good, we were never hungry. I can't say enough about the expedition team, including the Leader Lynn. What an amazing bunch of people who were so friendly and made sure we all got the most out of the visit. We were in room 401 which is a twin superior with 2 windows (rear and port facing). This is a great room for lots of light and windows, and as a superior, included a few bottles of wine and snacks. The demographics of the passengers were great with ages ranging from 10 – 70 years old. Probably the average age was mid-40s which made it a lot of fun. If you have an adventurous streak and want to go to Antarctica on a smaller boat with lots of activities, do this!

It was a very nice trip.I liked all the staff member and passengers on board.
