Oceanwide Finalist in Adventure in Motion Film Contest

The new corporate commercial for Oceanwide Expeditions, “Walk into the Waking Dream,” has just been nominated as a finalist in the Adventure in Motion short film competition. This fourth edition of Adventure in Motion, orchestrated by Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) in association with partners ExOfficio and AFAR, has selected eight short films out of the many submitted to the competition by individual filmmakers and travel companies.

Winner Selection Process

Of the eight films that made the current cut, three will proceed to the final round on the basis of votes in the form of Facebook likes. A live vote will then determine the grand prize winner after the films are screened at the Adventure Travel World Summit in Salta, Argentina, an event attended by over 800 delegates. Winners receive a prize from ExOfficio, a yearlong membership to ATTA, and a ticket to the next summit in 2018. Current finalists are being promoted by ATTA and its partners.

Competition Purpose & Past

Submitted films were required to run less than five minutes in length, credits included, and were selected based on their unique ability to inspire audiences toward outdoors adventure and engagement. Last year’s winner was Mountain Lodges of Peru, which won for its GLP Films production of Salkantay Inca Trail: The Ultimate Trek to Machu Picchu, a short film that followed a band of travelers navigating the precipitous routes of the Salkantay Inca Trail.

Oceanwide Friends Unite
