The captain and his crew navigated safely. There was ample food. Wine was reasonably priced. The waiters were wonderful, the zodiac drivers great. The scenery was awesome so why the poor rating??? The excursion team led by "Miss I, me, myself" lets Oceanwide and the guests down. We felt we were surrounded by college kids in a summer camp. One adult in the room - Adam - but he was not the leader. Instead, we had a spoiled, arrogant and impolite kid who thinks the world whirls around her and showed little care. For example the 1.5 kms stroll along the beach which ended up being a 4 or 5 kms through the hills with guest over 75 years old who could hardly make it and no excursion team around to guide. They are too busy taking pictures and posting them on social media. The lectures are extremely unprofessional - basic powerpoint presentations and no enthusiasm from most of the presenters and please spare the lessons on "see, watch and whatever". Do not spit in the soup by telling us how bad human impact is in Antartica etc. etc. The only ones that had some kind of credibility were Adam and Bjarni. So much for noted biologists. Should we also mention the doctor saga? So unprofessional!

The expedition was awesome! Especially the guides. Only negative would be food choices. very limited options for Asian vegetarians.

What a sensational and extremely well organised adventure we had, together with an enthousiastic and professional expedition team. Many many thanks!

I recently had the opportunity to take a trip to Antarctica on the M/V Plancius and it was an absolutely incredible experience. The ship itself was comfortable and well-equipped, and the staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The highlight of the trip, of course, was the opportunity to see Antarctica up close. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, with towering glaciers, snow-covered peaks, and crystal-clear waters teeming with wildlife. We were lucky enough to see a wide variety of animals, including penguins, seals, and even whales. The guides on the trip were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the area, and they did an excellent job of sharing their knowledge with us. They were always willing to answer questions and provide additional information, and they made sure that we were able to see and experience as much as possible during our time in Antarctica. Overall, I couldn't recommend this trip more highly. Whether you're a nature lover, a history buff, or simply someone looking for an unforgettable adventure, the M/V Plancius is the perfect way to experience the beauty and wonder of Antarctica. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

What an amazing trip on the Ortelius with Oceanwide. The expedition teams were fantastic - professional, knowledgeable, and fun. They put the guests first and did everything to give us the best Antarctica experience despite challenging weather conditions. You could tell how much they love Antarctica and really care about bringing us into their world. The vessel's hardworking crew was also amazing and went above and beyond for us in our floating hotel, from the captain explaining the navigation charts to the guests on the bridge to the hotel managers staying overtime at the bar - don't take that for granted.

Antarctica is a truly breathtaking and otherworldly destination. The stark white landscapes, towering glaciers, and diverse array of wildlife make for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The journey to the southernmost continent is also an adventure in itself, with rough seas and unpredictable weather adding to the sense of remoteness and isolation. The trip to Antarctica starts from Ushuaia, Argentina, where we boarded a ship that took us across the Drake Passage, which is known for its rough waters. Despite the rocky crossing, the journey was worth it as soon as we arrived to the Antarctic Peninsula. Once on the continent, we were able to go on daily excursions to explore the various islands and inlets. We saw colonies of penguins, seals lounging on ice floes, and whales breaching the surface of the water. The highlight of the trip was probably the landscapes, made of massive ice formations, mountains and floating icebergs. The accommodation and food on the ship were also excellent, with comfortable cabins and delicious meals prepared by the ship's chefs. The staff was also very friendly and knowledgeable, making for a great experience overall.

Stunning place obviously. Outstanding expedition team, from the expedition guides to the housekeeping staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Well organised, friendly, passionate, knowledgeable, hard working. Everyone. The food was amazing - three meals a day with lots of choice but with the kitchen philosophy being minimum waste (just my sort of people). Can't praise OceanWide highly enough. Thank you all for making this the trip of a lifetime.

Amazing trip, great food, fascinating guides and lectures. Amazing weather i'm told. Was astounded by the iceburgs they looked so un real like being in another planet.

Our expedition cruise to Antarctica was just amazing, Organization, staff, ship, excursions - everything was just the way it is supposed to be. Impressed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. The Expedition Leaders were well-informed and eager to pass along their knowledge. Lectures were very interesting and good. Announcements were clear and timely. Trips off the ship were great except for the kayaking which was extremely short and as a result, uninteresting. The cabins were clean and up-to-date. Equipment was in good shape. Food was good, but not great. Overall, an great trip.

I cannot begin to describe the experience we had on our epic journey to the bottom of the world. After a three year wait to travel, everything about the experience went beyond our wildest dreams. The ship was clean, safe and well-organized. The staff, from the captain to the staff rarely seen, were exceptional. From the cheery wake-up announcements each morning to the call to meals, nothing was left to chance. Meals were consistently delicious, with varied options designed to meet all tastes. The expedition staff were second to none. From zodiac cruising to mountaineering, there was something for everyone and the leaders were eager to share not only their knowledge but also their passions. Whether it was plankton or geopolitics, someone was always willing to provide us with a wealth of information making this trip the most interesting, floating school I’ve ever attended. You will not be disappointed should you travel with Oceanwide Expeditions.

We have seen a lot of wildlife. Seven kinds of Penguins of which almost all kolonies had chicks, Fur seals with pups, wales, several kinds of sea birds, Commerson's dolphins, too much to mention. The service on board was very good, as well as the atmosphere.. Very professional and friendly staff. We have enjoyed this trip as the most beautyfull travelexperience we have ever had.

A fantastic, fun and exciting trip. Spectacular landscapes, wildlife in its natural environment and nature in its purest form. With an excellent team that took care of us and made us feel at home. Thank you for a wonderful experience and for making a dream come true!!

Antarctica exceeded our expectations- everything about it was magical. We’d met people over the last few months who’ve been there 3-4 times, and we thought, “it’s Antarctica- once is enough”. But now we get it- an incredible place that needs to be protected. From the wildlife to the incredible scenery to the comfort and spirit of camaraderie on the ship and excursions to the incredible crew and expedition staff, I can’t think of anything that could have been improved. We will definitely return….after a trip to Svalbard with Oceanwide Expeditions. You have us hooked on cold weather!

Incredible journey through Antarctic lands. Incredible landings in all the areas visited, with special mention for South Georgia Island. Memories that will be in my mind forever. Thanks to all the expedition team and the crew.
