On January 16, Oceanwide Expedition kicked off its first quarter century with an exciting new free polar cruise contest.
The contest awards a free voyage (minus air fare and other non-OEX expenses) to Antarctica for first place, Greenland for second, and Svalbard for third – as well as 250 other prizes.
Those who are interested are asked to create a profile on the OEX website, log in, and play for the polar gold. Entrants who amass the most social media votes win the top prizes.
Everyone can enter, even tour operators and travel agents. Only OEX employees are excluded.
The contest is a fine capstone for Oceanwide’s 25th birthday, which has been another year of unprecedented growth in a roughly five-year period of great industry success.
This growth has led not only to a new OEX office, but also a new ship: m/v Hondius, the world’s first-registered Polar Class 6 vessel, which, despite being larger than the other members of Oceanwide’s fleet, still holds true to the company’s small-scale, activity-based philosophy.
The first results of OEX’s 25th birthday contest are scheduled to be announced in mid-March.
