The Antarctic research site of Petrel Base
Petrel Base is one of the many interesting research stations we attempt to visit on certain trips within our Antarctic program. Established as a permanent research station in 1967, it has been a temporary base since 1978, housing scientists only part of the year. Petrel Base is found on Dundee Island, among Graham Land’s Joinville island group.
