First Emperor Penguin trip started

Oceanwide Expeditions is very pleased to announce that the first ship-based voyage to the Weddell Sea started last Saturday.

We expect that the first helicopter transfer from our vessel Ortelius to Snow Hill Island will take place on Wednesday morning. More details will follow shortly.

Our next voyages to the Emperor penguins in the Weddell Sea are scheduled for 23 November – 03 December 2013 (voyage code OTL22) and 03 till 13 December 2013 (voyage code OTL23).
