M/v Plancius is not only a very beautiful ship but also very pleasant to sail on. I praise her stability in heavy seas, and so did the passengers in the Drake Passage when we experienced bad weather. Another very positive thing is that she is a very silent ship. There is almost no engine noise on the ship unlike on most other ships I sailed on where there was always this humming back-ground sound from the engines. You can see she has been designed as a very good ocean-going ship. The passengers really love ‘Plancius’, many of them want to go to Arctic (Greenland cruises and for example trips along the coast of Svalbard) and the Antarctic (the Antarctic Peninsula, Ross Sea and the Weddell Sea area) with her.
